Sushma is a Geomatics Engineer with a passion for maps, data, and the uses of technology-based solutions to address real-world issues. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Geomatics Engineering from Kathmandu University (2016-2020). She is currently working as a Geospatial Analyst at Kathmandu Living Labs, a non-profit, civic-tech organization. Her work revolves around open data, maps, GIS, cartography, and using other geospatial technologies for humanitarian causes. She is also an OpenStreetMap trainer and has trained hundreds of people from diverse backgrounds, nationally and internationally. She is a recipient of the “OSM Guru” title from Open Mapping Hub-Asia Pacific and a voting member of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT).
